Microfiber car towels are a necessity in your garage or shop.  Here's why.

If you are serious about modern car care, whether you're a professional or amateur, it's very important that you convert all of your towels to microfibers as soon as you can.

There are a lot of benefits to converting. Microfiber towels for your car absorb up to five times their weight in water. No other material has that absorbancy rate. Next, you will save quite a bit on your water and electric bills because microfiber requires far less washing than polyester or cotton. Finally, even the finest cotton towels put very fine scratches in your paint. A quality microfiber towel will not create any detectable micro scratching.

Microfiber has become affordable enough that you can use the towels for generic interior cleaning and even shampooing.  When it's time to wash your microfibers, you can simply rinse them with warm water and squeeze them dry, if they are unusually dirty, you can wash them in your washing machine with a small amount of detergent and add them to the dryer. They are not particularly sensitive to high temperatures or long drying periods and will not rip, tear, or shred. You can also use your microfibers as car drying towels instead of using a chamois towels. Microfiber absorbs a lot of water relative to its size, and is extremely durable and will not tear or break down.

Finally, because microfibers are available in several colors, they give you the opportunity to organize your workspace. For example, you can use green towels only for interior detailing, blue towels for windows, then yellow towels only for waxing and polishing.
